You are given 30 minutes to create a speech about a current event

Events that are not available at every tournament

Original Spoken Word Poetry (deliver your own slam poetry; memorized)
Duo Improv (make up a comedic scene on the spot)
Program of Oral Interpretation (creating a memorized mashup using literature from various sources)
Informative (a memorized informative speech using visual aids)
Storytelling (a memorized children's story)
Impromptu (make up a 4-7 minute speech on the spot without preparation)

Speech Events

Events with memorized speeches only require that one speech be used for all tournaments within an academic year. The speech time limit for memorized speeches is 5-10 minutes.
